UPDATED RENTAL PROCEDURES AND POLICIES

On top of the cleaning processes that our repair staff regularly perform on our rental instruments, we have added extra wipe downs and cleaning processes to the final stages of instrument preparation - adding another level of safety to the servicing of an instrument before it gets into the hands of a musician.  Part of these new processes include having all of our instruments quarantined multiple times and having each instrument wrapped in plastic as part of final cleaning procedure.  We are confident that adding these changes, and others, to our regular cleaning procedures will help keep everyone safe!

MOUTHPIECE UPDATE:  Wright Music will no longer be including mouthpieces with our wind instrument rentals. Clients will need to have their own mouthpiece; a mouthpiece fee of $12 can be added to any rental for a generic mouthpiece. We also stock a number of teacher recommended and upgrade mouthpieces that can be purchased.  Wind instrument rentals will now include some basic cleaning and maintenance supplies to aid in keeping your instrument clean during the rental period.

ONLINE PAPERWORK

We continue to try to speed up our rental processes and make your visit to us as easy as possible. To help with that, we are encouraging clients to fill out their paperwork online.  This allows us to prepare in advance for your visit and have all of your items ready for when you arrive.  Once online paperwork is received, a staff member will contact you to arrange for instrument pickup.  Pickup can be arranged for in store or curbside depending on your preferences.  For many instruments, same day or next day pickup will be available.

SIZING AND SELECTION

We understand that selecting a rental instrument for the school year is a process many students look forward to.  With safety in mind, we have had to make some decisions about how students can choose their rental this year.  Since all rental instruments have gone through enhanced cleaning and quarantining this year, we are confident in each of our rentals being safe for student use.  To preserve that extra safety, students will not be able to touch or play an instrument that is not rented to them.  At this point in time, we also can not accommodate students trying out rental instruments in store unless prior arrangements have been made.  If your student needs to try out an instrument in store before taking it home, please communicate with Wright Music in advance so that arrangements can be made if possible.

For band instruments, students will not need to be measured as they are “one-size-fits-all”.

For string students, having the properly sized instrument is important for success.  For students who do not know their size or who are being measured for the first time, Wright Music has developed “low contact” strategies to do measurements in-store or curbside.  Measurements will be done with frequently cleaned demo instruments and all students will be handed an instrument wrapped in a fresh plastic sleeve for measuring purposes. For students that already have an instrument, bringing that instrument into the shop with you will help us provide a safe measurement.   For all students needing measurements, appointments are suggested for best service but not required.
